Why do I pay shipping costs when the product prices are already fairly high?

We deliberately calculate our product prices without including shipping costs. This might seem unfair at first glance, but it's actually the fairer solution: if we built shipping costs into product prices to offer "free shipping," you'd end up paying more overall on an order with multiple items than if shipping costs are listed separately. This way, you only pay for shipping once, no matter how many items you order.

On top of that, the shipping costs we charge only cover part of the actual costs involved in packaging, shipping, and the work our warehouse colleagues put in. We cover the rest ourselves. Fair pay for this work matters to us, and transparent shipping costs help make that possible.
