No, using your FYTA sensors requires a connection to the FYTA Cloud. Your sensors only capture raw data at first, such as moisture, light, or temperature. It's only once this data is transmitted to the FYTA Cloud that we can compare it against your plant's individual needs and turn it into readable values and concrete care recommendations.
There's a lot happening in the FYTA Cloud behind the scenes: a constantly maintained database of plant profiles, the matching substrate calibrations, and all the calculations that make your raw data actually useful. Without this connection, we wouldn't be able to show you any meaningful analysis or care recommendations.
Don't worry: FYTA has been on the market for years already, and we don't plan on changing that. Still, in the unlikely event that this were ever to happen, we reserve the right to make it possible to keep using your devices without the cloud connection, though with reduced functionality, since the in-depth analysis of your data wouldn't be possible anymore.
